The CFRIQC is the training center par excellence if you want to become an expert in the field of protective coatings. Whether you want to become the specialist in spray paint application, the king or queen of abrasive stripping or the inspection pro, our training courses are here to help you improve all your skills!
In context
In Quebec, after completing the Building Painter study program, a worker can choose to specialize in different sectors: residential, commercial, industrial or civil engineering.
In the Industrial and Civil Engineering sectors, a worker then has two choices to perfect their knowledge:
1. Find a job and learn through knowledge transfer.
2. Take specialized training in English, given by foreign associations or companies such as AMPP.
If a worker does not speak English, then it becomes very difficult for him to find training.specialized, both in French and recognized by most project providers.
THE CREATION OF THE CFRIQC
The idea of the Quebec Industrial Coating Training Center (CFRIQC) was born in 2021 with a clear vision: to offer specialized training, in French, meeting the needs of workers and professionals in the industrial coating industry.
Several steps are being taken to make this idea a reality. Among them, actions to obtain certification as an approved training organization in Quebec and collaborations with the AMPP (Association for Materials Protection and Performance), a world-renowned association in this field. These initiatives aim to offer accredited training programs, guaranteeing learners a high-level education in line with current standards and practices.
On August 21, 2023, the CFRIQC officially opens its doors to welcome its very first students, for the AMPP Basic Coatings Inspector (CIP 1) training.
On April 15, 2024, after years of waiting from the French-speaking industrial coatings community and the sustained efforts of our team, the CFRIQC became the first establishment in the world, and the only one to date, to offer the Industrial Coatings Inspector program. base (CIP 1) of the AMPP in French. This achievement marks a significant step forward which opens up new opportunities for all French speakers in the field.
On May 24, 2024, CFRIQC became the first and only AMPP-accredited partner in Canada.
THE MISSION OF THE CFRIQC
The mission of the CFRIQC is to develop the expertise of the French-speaking workforce in the
industrial coatings sector and therefore, to contribute to the improvement of quality standards within the industry in Quebec.
